Lost the box
Don’t know where it’s gone
I have many, but this is one
I need

I look under the bed
Scratch my head
Look inside other boxes
but to no avail

Others I have many
But I have things to put inside
The box
Life is untidy otherwise

Temporarily I put them in another
But it’s not branded
with inserts form-fitted
Superiorly aqcuited

My last hope
the garage
A box enclosing disarray
Boxes hide in rafters
Dusty bats scared of the rain

Light on
Ladder unfolded
Head bang avoided
Up there? Behind there?

Reach over, overreach
Wet foot slips
Then I am in a box
Life is untidy otherwise
